New Revolution
When the military starts using alternative energy technology more, then it can become affordable to the general population.
Political leadership is needed right now
Military Participation is critical
Phase One – create new industry to get people back to work and everyone using clean energy to get to zero emissions ASAP.
Phase Two – clean up the mess with advanced technology, education and projects that scrub CO2 out of the atmosphere.
Cities redesigned and remodeled so more people can walk to work and school.
Per Acre –
28 gallons of oil from corn
600-800 gallons from palm tree oil
5,000 from algae ponds
Algae oil can be used to make diesel and jet fuel as well as other oil based products.
The first autos were electric 100 years ago, now we have better battery technology so we need to go back. 85% of the cars on the road could be plugin hybrids before one single new power plant would need to be built.
A Mobile Solar Energy Storage System
There is a battery technology that could store electricity in electric autos and while at work, during the day when most power for A/C is used, the autos are plugged in to the company’s electric grid that would produce alternative electricity from the parked cars in the parking lots
It would be like everyone having mobile power plants and they could be paid for the power they produce or be given a credit of some sort for other utilities. The factory or company can also have rooftop solar systems that supplement the power needs but also recharge the employ’s cars for free when there is a surplus.
Environmental Projects
The need to move towns and villages inland due to the rising sea levels around the world will require teams of engineers and workers.
Geothermal power plants for factories and villages where it’s possible.
The goal is Clean Water & Air
It’s Simple
No politics, no industry no media, no opinion, no controversy, this desire is universal.
Building structures need to built and remodeled and retrofitted to save and store energy. Houses and buildings account for about 40% of the CO2 emissions, which is twice as much as autos. This would be one of the most important places to start, and if you are a student, study engineering.
So boiling it down…
Electric Autos and Transportation
Energy Efficient buildings with advance energy production & storage systems
Agriculture and Health Education Programs
Just changing to energy efficient light bulbs could save enough energy to close ¼ of all the coal fired power plants.
Rooftop gardens, grass roofs and white painted rooftops (that mimic ice-caps) reduce temperatures on roofs from 160-170 degrees F to 80-90 degrees F by reflecting the suns rays the way the ice caps used to.
85% of all the buildings we have today we will still have in 2030. There is an enormous opportunity to retrofit buildings with energy efficient upgrades during their remodeling.
Low income families need solar panels and other energy efficiency help for homes and apartment buildings, another huge back to work opportunity. All that would be needed is some zero/low interest loans and installation subsidies for these applications.
Solving individual energy needs will take the US from the leader in pollution to the leader in solutions.
It is time to reboot the economies of the world and create energy efficient opportunities for everyone to benefit from. We can not wait until the big guys do it; it has to be done at a local level with co-ops and government assistance. It needs to happen right now, not next quarter or after the next elections but now. The savings from many facets need to be considered like healthier people equal happier people equal less violence and health care needs good news travels fast. It will stimulate the economy as well as the moral of the people to take pride again in their communities.
We all need to B-ECO-ME-LOGICAL.
It costs nothing to be energy efficient, it costs money not to be.
Right now industry wastes and throws away excess energy at many facilities. It costs them nothing to throw it away because there are no penalties or carbon credit costs to do so. But the simple truth is that the factories could recapture that lost or wasted energy and actually save money reducing their expenses, thus staying in business and possibly have no more laid off workers and even hire more.
Retrofitting industry is a huge opportunity.
My grandfather started a fuel co-op in the small town where he lived so the farmers could have access to affordable fuel for the invention of the time, the tractor. The fuel was also used to heat homes and businesses which in turn created a service related business for many installing and maintaining that equipment.
The new “Green Revolution” is very similar to the old “Industrial Revolution” in many ways as it clearly offers immense opportunities for prosperity and wellbeing in the decades to come.
I have made a commitment to be like my grandfather and start an online Eco-Op for new age solutions to planetary restoration.
We have a lot of work to do.
I am asking for your help and support.
Who else do you know, what else is possible?
More next time…
Thanks for everything that you do.
