David LeFevre – The Traveling Seed Banker

From Seed Banker to Mortgage Banker and back again.

When I was 12 or so, my family bought a cherry orchard, then another and then we built a new home right in the middle of one of them, bought another including a canning factory until we had about 300 acres. We also had a horticultural machinery dealership and sold orchard sprayers, grass cutters and tree harvesters.

I built, sold & operated several retail water purification stores and took a very serious interest in environmental issues concerning the quality of water and how it and food affects our health. My interest in alternative methods to purify air and water soon lead me to get involved with alternative medicine, organic sustainable agriculture and spirituality.

At one point I had about 5 acres of bio-dynamic farm in Spain and I established a seed bank with over 250 different kinds of heirloom eatables.

We sold our produce at the local plaza market on Saturday, to local health food stores and restaurants and even directly from the farm.

People thought we were a bit touched when we planted in a small field that was used for centuries to prepare the sulfurs and other chemicals that were spread on the vineyards. The ground was as hard as concrete. They said people have tried for years to get things to grow there and nothing grew.

So I studied the weeds and planted strong “heirloom seeds” within the family of that weed. Long story, short, we had a bountiful harvest and learned more about the earth than we knew before.

My green thumb came as a result of learning to see things from the plants point of view!

Our dream was to rebuild another old farm house on the estate and turn it into an alternative agriculture center and teach other people about sustainable farming and the importance of preserving old strains of seed.

That vision has evolved into a global vision to build alternative advanced research and scientific development facilities to share with the world new age solutions to planetary restoration.

My vision is to connect the people, places and things that will fulfill this dream which is currently under way with phase one of our vision.

My purpose in life is to leave something behind that will benefit people for generations to come. I am a connector and it is my purpose to connect people back to the earth and heal the planet in order to heal people.
